Scott Braddock, editor of QuorumReport.com, joined The Chad Hasty Show on Monday to discuss the latest political news in Texas.

Braddock and Hasty talked about the upcoming start of the 87th Texas Legislature which is set to convene on January 12th, 2021, the latest on the coronavirus front, the Texas economy and more.

While speaking about how COVID-19 is affecting preparations for the new legislature and whether or not the prospect of a vaccine holds a chance for a normal legislative session in Austin, Braddock said:

We hear all this news about vaccines coming as soon as this week. Governor Abbott has said that in the coming days we're going to see the Pfizer vaccine distributed in Texas, but that's going to be on a limited basis. And of course there are certain people who are going to get those vaccines first, right, the first responders, the front line health care workers and people like that. As far as the greater public, we probably won't see that until well into the first quarter of the year, right, and so that means that for the vaccines to be any kind of fix for what the legislative session would look like, [that's] probably not going to happen.
