Braddock: Saudi Oil Actions Basically ‘A Declaration Of War On Texas’ [Interview]
On Monday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Scott Braddock, editor of Quorum Report, joined the program to talk about the latest in news around the world and in Texas.
Braddock and Hasty discussed the recent stock market plunge, Saudi Arabia, oil prices and the Texas economy, the panic surrounding the Coronavirus, recent state primary elections, and more.
While talking about this morning's news about Saudi Arabi, OPEC, and oil prices, Braddock said,
When the Saudis say that they're going try to push the price of a barrel of oil down as far as $30 or $20, by just putting a glut of oil into the market, that's basically a declaration of war on Texas, that's the way I look at that. And of course that has big implications for our state budgets, and for the health of our overall economy.
