Monday on The Chad Hasty Show Quorum Report editor Scott Braddock joined the show to discuss the latest in news and politics in the nation, as well as in the state of Texas.

Braddock and Hasty talked about the official entry of Beto O'Rourke into the 2020 election campaign, John Cornyn's reelection campaign, property tax reform and Governor Greg Abbott, and much more.

While speaking about O'Rourke's announcement, the rocky start to his campaign, and O'Rourke's remarkable early fundraising, Braddock said,

It was not a good rollout by every measure, except one: In that first 24 hours, he raised an eye-popping $6.1 million, which to put in perspective is about the same amount, a little more than Barack Obama raised in the whole first quarter that he was running for president. This, of course, eclipses Bernie Sanders, who almost got up to six million with his fundraising efforts, for the same time period. It's just a huge number.
