Sunday evening, a Boil Water Notice was issued for two east Lubbock County communities.  Lubbock County officials tell KFYO News the Boil Water Notice for Ransom Canyon and Buffalo Springs Lake is expected to be in effect for at least two to three days.

The water pipeline from the City of Lubbock that runs along East 50th Street to supply both Ransom Canyon and Buffalo Springs Lake was damaged on Sunday, causing water pressure to drop below acceptable levels.

Water used for consumption will need to be boiled for at least two minutes before drinking.
