On Wednesday Representative Jodey Arrington joined The Chad Hasty Show to discuss President Trump's State of the Union Address last night, share his thoughts on the event and the controversies surrounding it.

Starting the interview with his summation of the evening, Arrington said,

I'm convinced that this man's going to be our Commander in Chief for four more years...It's been an honor to serve alongside of him, I thought he just hit a home run last night.

Arrington and Hasty talked about the highlights of the speech and the scorn on prominent display by the Democrats, as well as the president's recognition during the speech of syndicated talk show host Rush Limbaugh.

Hasty asked Arrington about Democrats' refusal to acknowledge and join in the celebration of recent successes such as rising incomes, low unemployment, and the like, that are obviously in the best interest of the county as a whole. Arrington responded by saying, in part,

It's a sad commentary on the culture of Washington, but it's a terrible image for the Democrats...They're so consumed with hate for this president.
