Tucker Crawford, the owner, proprietor and apple picker at Apple Country Orchard in Idalou, Texas, joined Lubbock's First News Monday (July 13).

Crawford discussed some of the changes that have taken place at Apple Country since he became owner back in September 2014.

"We're transitioning into organics," said Crawford. "It doesn't mean that we give up on conventional, it's the same techniques. We just use it with different inputs. It's really a great concept and it opens us up to the entire state and we don't want somebody not to be able to come out and pick just because they prefer an organic over a conventional."

Apple Country also manufactures 100 percent spun honey.
