Amazon Bans Confederate Flag, Continues to Allow Some Nazi Merchandise
Responding to the recent uproar surrounding the murders in Charleston South Carolina and Confederate battle flag merchandise being banned by some retailers and auction sites, online retail behemoth Amazon.com and auction site eBay are prohibiting sales of Confederate battle flag-branded items.
Nevertheless, Amazon, according to this Breitbart article, is still allowing the sales of merchandise depicting Nazi emblems and logos.
Earlier this week, neither Amazon nor eBay had responded to questions about whether or not they would end the sale of Nazi/Hitler-related materials. Before the end f World War II, the Nazis were responsible for the murders of millions of Jewish people.
However, a Reuters article posted June 24, 2015 detailed some effort by the two companies to reduce controversy, and addressed concerns and logistical problems in quelling the controversy. More details on the controversial issue are available here.
