Ysidro Gutierrez Says He Has Always Been Conservative [INTERVIEW]

On Thursday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Ysidro Gutierrez, candidate for Mayor of Lubbock, joined Hasty in the KFYO studio to talk issues and why he believes he is the best candidate for Mayor.

Gutierrez and Hasty discussed a number of issues, including his goals as Mayor, Citizen's Tower, LP&L, and downtown redevelopment.

During the interview, Ysidro addressed a relayed caller question as to why in the past he was a Democrat, and how and why he has become a conservative. Gutierrez responded,

I am in very good company. you know Ronald Reagan, you know Rick Perry, Thomas Sowell, Milton Friedman, David Horowitz, Andrew Breitbart, all of them are in my company. We all did the same thing. And I think that we all did it for the right reason. We all went from the Democrat party into a conservative mindset. But Chad, I have always been conservative. Look at my voting record on the Commissioner's court, and you will see that I always voted conservative.
