Budget season is underway at Lubbock City Hall and already a tax increase is being discussed. According to KJTV, yesterday's work session included talk of a 2.5 cent property tax increase. Councilman Floyd Price supports raising the tax rate that could generate around $1 million dollars towards the general fund.

So far proposed improvements cover street maintenance, facility repairs, and parks projects.
