The current proposed budget for the City of Lubbock calls for a property tax increase. While no decision has been officially made, some at City Hall already back the idea of raising taxes. According to a report from the AJ, Mayor Glen Robertson and Councilman Jim Gerlt support raising taxes. Councilwoman Karen Gibson, for now, does not support a tax increase. The city manager, Gerlt, and Robertson all say a tax increase is needed for maintenance issues. Would you support raising taxes right now?
