President Barack Obama is in Texas today and tomorrow for a pair of fundraisers in San Antonio today and Austin tomorrow for his presidential campaign.

President Obama is expected to raise around $5 million today in San Antonio as he tries to appeal to gay, Latino and big money donors in the State Capitol and Alamo City.

Governor Rick Perry today continued his offensive against President Obama and his policies in light of his visit to Texas.

This morning Perry released a statement on the president's visit saying, “Perhaps while the President is visiting Texas, he can take a break from big-dollar fundraisers to disavow his Attorney General's offensive and incendiary comments regarding our common-sense voter identification law.”

Governor Perry continued, "In labeling the Texas voter ID law as a ‘poll tax’, Eric Holder purposefully used language designed to inflame passions and incite racial tension. It was not only inappropriate, but simply incorrect on its face.”

President Obama has not responded to the governor’s remarks.
