West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard’s Steven Orr Picks Sweetwater vs. Snyder As Game Of The Week [AUDIO]

On the Thursday edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Steven Orr from the “West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard” show talked with Chad Hasty about his picks for the big games in high school football this week.

After a somewhat quiet Week 5, Week 6 is looking to be a big week for high school football, as district play kicks off for a number of area teams this week.One of those district kick off games will be Lubbock High vs. Plainview. Orr said that both teams are 1-4 for the season, and that this game is important for both sides to start thinking about playoffs. He warned, however, that Lubbock High will need to stay away from critical mistakes if they want to stand a chance against Plainview.

Another big game this week will be Levelland vs. Estacado. Orr said this game will be especially important to the Levelland Lobos, as they are currently sitting on an impressive 4-1 season and Estacado is the fastest team they've encountered so far. Lubbock Cooper will also be taking on Andrews Friday night, and Orr predicted the Cooper Pirates would take this game easily.

For Week 6, Orr picked Sweetwater vs. Snyder as his must-see game of the week. He explained that this has always been a huge rivalry game between the two cities. He added that, despite their 1-4 record, Snyder is a tough and competitive, and Sweetwater will need to avoid any mistakes in order to come out on top. Other big games to check out this week will be Littlefield vs. Bushland, Roosevelt vs. Post and Idalou vs. Brownfield.
