On the Thursday edition of the Chad Hasty Show, Steven Orr from the “West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard” show talked with Chad Hasty about his picks for the big games in high school football this week.

There were plenty of tight games and surprising wins last week, and according to Orr, Week 3 is looking to be another great week of high school football. One of the big games to watch will be Estacado vs. Snyder. Orr explained that although Estacado lost last week, they are still a strong and very fast team. But he added that the Matadors could still have their work cut out for them with Snyder who, despite having a 0-3 season so far, is still a formidable opponent.

Another game to watch this week will be Lubbock Cooper vs. Perryton. Orr said that Cooper's been doing very well in their 2-1 season, while Perryton is still looking for their first win of the season. He also said Idalou vs. Friona will be a game to look forward to. he said that, while Friona isn't too much of a threat right now, Idalou will have to shake off their tough loss to Littlefield last week and get their head back in the game in order to win.

For Week 3, Orr selected Amarillo High vs. Frenship as his game of the week. Orr said that both teams have been very strong so far this season, and both have a similar play style, so he expects it to be a fantastic game. Other games to keep an eye on this week include Littlefield vs. Stratford, Shallowater vs. Dalhart and Monterrey vs. Randall.
