This week’s big game is in District 3-A, with Lubbock Cooper taking on Idalou Friday night. Orr says that Idalou has been making a lot of playoff noise, and already has a state championship under their belts. But, Lubbock Cooper has made some major improvement, and Orr says it should prove to be a great game.

Another major game worth noting kicks off tonight, with Lubbock Monterrey taking on Lubbock Coronado. This cross-town rivalry usually doesn’t happen until later in the season. But this time, it’s the first game in the 2012-13 season, and Orr says it’ll be a fantastic way to kick off the season.

If you can’t make it out to Lubbock Cooper for the game Friday night, you can listen to it live starting at 7:15 PM right here on News/Talk 790 KFYO. And after the game, you can listen to the West Texas Friday Night Scoreboard on Friday nights at 10 PM on SportsRadio 1340 The FAN.
