West Texas Endurance to Host Halloween-Themed Dog Run Saturday

An area group will host a Halloween weekend exercise event which can involve the family dog.

West Texas Endurance will host their 1^st Annual HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Run on Saturday, October 27^th at Canyon Lake 6.

The event will begin with a dog costume contest at 8:30 a.m., followed by the run/walk beginning at 9 a.m.

They will offer two distances, including a family-friendly course of 1.2 miles around Canyon Lake 6, and a more challenging 5 mile course will go through the City of Lubbock Cemetery.

Those interested can also donate dog supplies to The Haven at the event.

A dog is not required for a person to participate in the event.

Race-day registration will be available Saturday from 7:30 a.m. through 8:15 a.m. at Canyon Lake 6.
