It’s always a bit of a challenge on Valentine’s Day when you’re trying to get a little alone time with that special someone and you need to find something for the kids to do.

The Lubbock Parks and Recreation Department has solution to your romantic challenge – they’re offering two activity filled Valentine’s Day evening events for children, supervised by Parks and Recreation staff.

At Maxey Community Center  there will be a Friday Fiesta Queen of Hearts party where kids can enjoy pizza, drinks, while they’re working on arts and crafts projects Friday Fiesta is from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m., and children ages 6-12 are welcome.

The cost is $15/child or $20/two children. Call the Maxey Community Center at 767-3796 to register.

Also Friday evening, the Hodges Community Center’s will host a Friday Night Fun night, and children will participate in games and have dinner.

The event at Hodges is also from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. and children ages 6-12 are welcome, Cost is $15/child and $10/additional sibling. Call the Hodges Community Center at 767-3706 to register.
