United Supermarkets will host their annual Big Squeeze Event on Sunday, April 30, 2017.

Parents and children are invited to spend an hour at one of two United Supermarkets locations to participate in the one-stop-shop event.

Families will learn the basics of running the small business of a lemonade stand by learning about permits, buying supplies and picking a lemonade stand location.

The Lubbock Health Department will also be on hand to issue temporary $1 Lemonade Day health permits to stands that wish to serve hot food that’s cooked on location.

The Big Squeeze Event will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the United Supermarket on Frankford Avenue and 82nd Street and the Market Street on 19th Street and Quaker Avenue.

The Big Squeeze Event is meant to prepare kids for Lubbock Lemonade Day, which will be on Saturday, May 4.

To register your child's lemonade stand, visit the Lubbock Lemonade Day official website.
