Cruz said the U.S. Senate race has effectively come down to a two-man race between him and David Dewhurst. But he said, when it came down to the records, he was the most conservative of the two.
“Conservatives across the state are unifying behind our campaign, and they’re focusing on his record and my record. And his record has been one of consistently supporting higher state spending and higher taxes. And that is not a record conservatives are looking for.”
Cruz said Dewhurst was not a true conservative, despite what Dewhurst claims, and that Dewhurst is desperately trying to avoid talking about his voting record.
Cruz also talked about what his impact would be as a “rookie” coming in to the Senate, saying that Texas need to join up with other strong conservative states. He also spoke about his views on Agenda 21.
