TxDOT Launches This Year’s Click It or Ticket Campaign

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) today launched this year’s Click It or Ticket campaign with press conferences across the state.
This year’s focus on the Click It or Ticket campaign for seat-belt awareness is pickup trucks.
According to TxDOT, last year, one of every two pickup truck drivers killed in traffic crashes in Texas was not buckled up. Wearing a seat belt reduces the risk of fatal injury by 60 percent in pickups.
Special patrols will be in effect from through June 3 as thousands of law enforcement officers around the state will be working overtime as part of the Click It or Ticket campaign.
