Two teenage brothers were rescued from a water retention pipe.

The 13 and 14 year old boys used home-made gear to rappel to the bottom while their other two brothers waited at the top.

Once at the bottom the boys realized they could not escape on their own, and the other two brothers summoned help.

The El Paso Fire Department said the boys were not injured after saving them Sunday.

The 50-foot pipe had no water in it at the time.

The names of the siblings have not been released.
