Two Lubbock High Students Advance to State Science Fair Competition

Two Lubbock High School seniors will compete this weekend in the State Science Fair in San Antonio. Rohit Mittal and Adriana Aguilar placed first in the Grade 12 Physical Division last weekend in the South Plains Regional Science and Engineering Fair.
Their project was titled “Geospatial Analysis Identified Batastic Locations in Caprock Canyons State Park Suitable for Bat Houses.” In addition to their advancement to state, they each received $3,500 in scholarships to Texas Tech University. The competition in San Antonio begins Friday and concludes Saturday.
