Two of the three City of Lubbock employees arrested for theft have been terminated.

The announcement came today from Assistant City Manager Quincy White, but the release did not specify which two employees were fired.

The employees have been charged with the theft of copper and brass water meter fittings.

The City’s Water Utilities and Human Resources Departments are still continuing their internal investigation into the third employee.

Ramauldo Guerrero, Juan Carlos Sanchez, and Jesus Martinez Flores were arrested Wednesday, and charged with first degree felony theft. The charges were upgraded since the three were public servants.

In a press release, the City said “The City of Lubbock does not tolerate theft of public property and is taking steps to ensure that a similar theft does not take place again.”
