A program offered by Texas Tech’s School of Nursing has been recognized.

Texas Tech Health Sciences Center’s School of Nursing has been ranked among the top in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

The 2013 edition of Best Online Graduate Nursing Programs ranks the School of Nursing 30th of 90 U.S. nursing schools that offer online master’s programs.

“The honor brings well-deserved attention to our School of Nursing and the institution,” said TTUHSC President Tedd L. Mitchell. “It is reflective of our mission to provide quality education and produce well-qualified health care professionals.”

The magazine’s rankings of online master’s in nursing degree programs are based on factors such as graduation rates, academic and career support services offered to students, and admissions selectivity.

The School of Nursing offers master’s degrees with tracks in administration, education, adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner, nurse midwifery, and pediatric nurse practitioner.
