Texas Tech Communication Students Compete in Speech Contest

The Texas Tech Department of Communication Studies will host a public speaking competition next Monday. The competition called SpeakUp! will allow students from two communications classes to compete for the top persuasive speech.

44 students will begin in the competition, with eight finalists being selected to compete for first, second and third place. The competition beings at 3:30 pm May 7^th. The final round is open to the public at 6pm Tuesday May 8^th in the Allen Theatre.
