Texas Tech’s basketball coach has been hospitalized.

Billy Gillispie was admitted into University Medical Center Friday morning, and is in satisfactory condition.

No reason for his admission has been released as of yet.

Early Friday however, KAMC-28 and ESPN reported that Tech Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt is looking into how Gillispie treats his team, and how he conducts practices.

Some players have reportedly met with Tech’s compliance department and with Hocutt regarding the matter.

More on this story as it develops.
