Texas Tech baseball will open Big 12 play with a series against Texas.

The Red Raiders will play the three-game series against the Texas Longhorns at UFCU Disch-Falk Field in Austin this weekend.

The first game of the series will begin at 6:35 p.m. on Friday, and continue with a 2 p.m. game Saturday, and a 1 p.m. game on Sunday.

Tech is looking for its first series win in Austin since 2001 and for their first conference-opening series win since 2011.

The Red Raiders have won seven of their last nine games overall after sweeping a two-game midweek series against Utah Valley in Lubbock.

The Longhorns go into conference play on a five-game winning streak, which was preceded by a four-game losing streak, and are 11-5 overall.
