Texas Teacher Retirement System Board of Trustees to Meet in Lubbock

TRS, the Teacher Retirement System of Texas, will hold three days of meetings for their Board of Trustees in Lubbock this week.  The meetings will take place tomorrow, starting at 10:30am; Thursday, starting at 8am and Friday, also starting at 8am; at the Region 17 Education Service Center on the West Loop and Frankford Avenue.

TRS is the sixth largest pension plan in the country and traditionally one set of meetings per year is held outside of Austin.  The three days worth of meetings will be webcast on the TRS website.

Planned discussion topics include various TRS investments and current market conditions, question and answer sessions with in-person and webcast attendees and the structure of TRS healthcare benefit programs. Also, public comments will be allowed at the start of each day’s session.
