State Senator Charles Perry filed for reelection to Texas Senate District 28 on Monday, December 7.

Perry is seeking a second term after seguing into the position during a 2014 Special Election to replace the long-serving senator, Robert Duncan, who segued into the chancellorship of Texas Tech University.

Before that, Perry served the Texas House of Representatives in District 83. Dustin Burrows won the special election to replace Perry.

Limiting the impact of government on small business and keeping the border secure were Perry’s top two concerns in office, according to a statement released by his campaign.
