Texas Department of Transportation to Hold Meeting Regarding Transportation Needs of Disabled in Rural South Plains
An annual meeting addressing the transportation needs of the disabled in rural areas will be held later this month.
TxDOT will hold the Annual Section 5310 Elderly Persons and Persons with Disabilities Public Meeting on Wednesday, August 31st at 2 p.m.
The meeting will be held to discuss the development of cost-effective services that will improve the quality of transportation and serve the transit needs of the elderly and disabled in the Lubbock District, according to TxDOT.
The Lubbock District provides transportation services and funds to public transportation entities in area counties, including Parmer, Bailey, Cochran, Gaines, and Dawson.
The meeting will be held at the TxDOT Lubbock District Office, located at 135 Slaton Road, located between Highway 84 and 66th Street.
