The annual Texas sales tax holiday will be held this weekend.

The sales tax holiday weekend is scheduled to run from Friday, August 9th through Sunday, August 11th.

Texans can save money by not paying sales tax on most clothing, footwear, and school supplies priced under $100. A list of tax-free items can be found at www.TexasTaxHoliday.com.

Shoppers are expected to save an estimated $78.9 million in state and local sales taxes during the sales tax holiday, according to the Texas Comptroller’s Office.

The sales tax holiday weekend has been an annual event in Texas since 1999.
