Teen Receives 4-Year Prison Term For Jail Escape

A teenager will spend four years in prison for attempting to escape from a detention center.
Larry Jefferson Burge pleaded guilty to third-degree felony escape on Thursday.
Burge escaped from the McLennan County State Juvenile Correctional Facility, along with two other inmates.
The three 18-year-olds found a hole in the fence at the facility and escaped on July 15th, 2012. They were found in a wooded area near the correctional facility about three hours later.
Ladarious Brown received a four year term after pleading guilty in November, and Stuart Douglas Candis will have a hearing in February 2013.
The Waco Tribune reports that Burge and Brown were in the facility for felony assault and Candis was serving time for aggravated robbery.
