Taps to be Played Wednesday at Miller Park as Part of September 11th Remembrance

Local members of Bugles Across America (BAA) will be playing taps Wednesday at Miller Park in Lubbock as part of September 11th remembrance ceremonies.  Taps will be played at five different times to signify the times four airplanes crashed on September 11, 2001 and to honor the first responders that perished.  The times are 7:46a, 8:03a, 8:13a, 9:10a and 9:30a.

Miller Park is also the new site of “An American Tribute” which features a number of American flags displayed at the park equaling the number of people killed on September 11th.

Miller Park is located on the south side of South Loop 289 at Memphis Avenue.
