Friday on The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek joined the broadcast to talk about the latest news in Texas politics, and condensed some conservative's opinions with the conclusion of the 86th Texas Legislature.

Svitek and Hasty discussed the overall performance of the legislature, as well as the Texas Democrats running for the presidency in 2020.

Hasty asked Svitek talked about the interaction between prominent conservative groups and Speaker of the House Dennis Bonnen during and after the session. During his reply, Svitek said,

Some of those groups are bitterly disappointed, to put it lightly, about the outcome of the session. A lot of their priorities did not make it past the finish line, or died in the House, like the [proposed] ban on taxpayer funded lobbying.
