On Friday's edition of The Chad Hasty Show, Patrick Svitek from the Texas Tribune joined Chad to discuss current events including the special session of the Texas Legislature in Austin.

Svitek and Hasty talked about the building momentum on some of Governor Abbott's priority items for the session, as well as Beto O'Rourke's campaign preparing to oppose Senator Ted Cruz.

Speaking about the quickening pace of the special session, with available time winding down to complete legislation on Abbott's agenda which includes abortion-related issues, annexation reform, and ballot fraud, Svitek said,

There's been some positive momentum this week on a number of issues.
