Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Obama has until Friday (link)

Speaker John Boehner sent President Obama a letter warning the President that he until Friday to get congressional authorization for the war in Libya or else he would be in violation of the War Powers Resolution. Here is part of what Boehner sent in a letter:

“The Constitution requires the president to ‘take care that the laws be faithfully executed,’ and one of those laws is the War Powers Resolution, which requires an approving action by Congress or withdrawal within 90 days from the notification of a military operation,” Mr. Boehner said in the letter.

Do you agree with Speaker Boehner's position on Libya?

2. House passes Congressional Redistricting (link)

From the Texas Tribune:

The Texas House tentatively passed SB 4 on Tuesday afternoon, following nearly four hours of debate in which Democrats argued that the congressional redistricting plans under consideration would "ensure" minority voters will lack proper representation in Congress. The bill now heads to third reading, though lawmakers on both sides of the aisle acknowledge the issue is likely to be settled in court.

Finally we are seeing some movement. However, like the story says, don't be surprised to see this end up in court.

3. Governor Rick Perry goes after President Obama (link)

Another day, another story about Rick Perry going after President Obama. I have to ask, does anyone really not think that Gov. Rick Perry plans on running for President?
