Snyder Teen Recovering from Gunshot Wound at University Medical Center

The Abilene Reporter news says a Snyder teen is recovering after being shot over the weekend. The 16-year-old was accidentally shot in the abdomen Friday evening at an apartment complex in Snyder. The man, 20-year-old Michael Strong, was an acquaintance of the teen. Authorities arrested him for marijuana possession, but do not believe drugs have anything to do with the incident. The girl is in stable condition at University Medical Center and is expected to make a full recovery.
