Thousands of children have poured across the border this year and the surge doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Violence in Central American countries along with U.S. policy have both been blamed for the uptick in illegal immigration. The current crisis has overwhelmed border patrol agents and many are wondering what the United States will do with the children who come across without parents. Last week the Obama administration said that most kids would be sent back, however the administration took a different stance yesterday when the White House spokesman told reporters that if the child’s life was in danger they would be allowed to stay.
