Senator John Cornyn Defends Drilling for Oil

Last week, President Obama said drilling for oil is not the answer to rising gas prices. Senator John Cornyn has responded with an article defending drilling. Cornyn writes that Texans are proud that Texas remains the leading U.S. producer of oil, and he says America has just begun to tap the potential of its vast resources.
According to Cornyn, gas prices have increased by 90% since Obama became president. Cornyn writes that instead of demonizing oil and gas companies, Obama should reverse the regulatory overreach of the past three years, and quit wagering taxpayer dollars on boondoggles like Solyndra.
