Section of Freeway Frontage Roads to Close Next Week
A section of frontage road along the Marsha Sharp Freeway will close next week.
TxDOT will close the both the east and westbound freeway frontage roads from Avenue L to Buddy Holly Avenue beginning on Monday.
Crews will close the roads after rush hour on Monday, and the closure is expected to last until Friday.
The closure will allow crews to concrete pave the new westbound frontage road.
Eastbound freeway traffic will be detoured south on Avenue L to 9th Street, then east to Buddy Holly, and finally north to reconnect with the MSF.
Westbound frontage road traffic will be detoured via south Texas Avenue, 9th Street, and Avenue L to reconnect with the freeway.
The contractor for this project is Lane Construction.
