Two teenagers were shot in a school shooting in Roswell, New Mexico this morning.  The shooting occurred around 8am Mountain Time at Berrendo Middle School. The shooting victims, a 14 year-old boy and a 13 year-old girl were airlifted to University Medical Center in Lubbock after receiving initial treatment in Roswell.

KFYO's Tom Collins spoke with UMC's Eric Finley just after 1:30p this afternoon to get an update on the condition of the children.  The boy remains in serious condition and the girl is in serious condition.  Identities of the shooting victims have not been released because they are juveniles.

Meanwhile, back in Roswell, according to KRQE Television a suspect has been apprehended by police but no details concerning the person’s identity has been released. Students were evacuated to the Roswell Mall after the shooting and classes cancelled for the rest of the day.

Wednesday morning at 7:10a, during Lubbock's First News, Tom Collins & Laura Mac will have Finley on their show to provide an update on the condition of the two children.
