Retail Gas Prices Rise in Lubbock, Drop in Texas

Retail gas prices in the Hub City have slightly risen from last week.

According to the KFYO News Gas Price survey, the average price for regular unleaded gas in Lubbock is $2.89 per gallon up two cents from last week.

The average price for a gallon of diesel fuel in Lubbock sits at $3.70. That is down three cents from last week.

The average statewide price for fuel dropped from last week. According to AAA Texas, the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas is $3.16 per gallon, down a penny from last week.

For the third straight week the city with the highest fuel prices in Texas is Dallas at $3.20 per gallon while El Paso is the cheapest city at $2.95. Lubbock is not part of the weekly AAA Texas survey.

Nationally, the average price for fuel is $3.32 per gallon, up two cents from last week’s AAA survey.
