Here are just a few things in Chad’s Pile that you will hear on Lubbock’s First News this morning. Give Chad your feedback on the steaming topics.

1. Republican debate is tonight

And here we go again! Tonight FOX News along with Google will host another Republican Presidential debate. This time, they are broadcasting from Orlando, Florida... yes a swing state. I am looking forward to tonight's debate since this will be my first time to see Rick Perry during a full debate. Missed the last debate because I was on my honeymoon, and some things are more important than watching these debates. Perry needs a good performance tonight, otherwise I think Mitt Romney will catch up to Perry nationally.

By the way, the Lubbock County Republicans will be hosting a debate watch party tonight at Buffalo Wild Wings (south university location) on the patio starting at 7:30 pm.

Will you be watching tonight? What will you be looking for?

2. Fast food rage (link)

I admit it, I've been upset before when a fast food place gets my order wrong when going through the drive-thru. It's annoying and I wonder why people can't do their job right. However, I've never been as mad as this guy.

Angered that his Taco Bell drive-thru order failed to include hot sauce, a Missouri man returned to the fast food restaurant and allegedly pulled a shotgun on an employee, who fled in fear from the takeout window.

The bizarre incident Saturday evening resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Combs, a 30-year-old convicted felon, on both state and federal charges. Combs is pictured in the below mug shot.

I think this convicted felon needs a little more time behind bars.

3. Obama still favored over Bush (link)

You would think that President Bush would have better numbers than President Obama right now, but according to Gallup that isn't the case.

That 53 percent figure represents the first time a clear majority have said The One bears a great deal or a moderate amount of blame for the economy. His culpability is a matter of absolute conviction on the right, of course, but the polling’s been surprisingly stubborn to date on handing the lion’s share of blame to Bush. Even here, Bush outpaces Obama by 16 points, although the partisan numbers are revealing. With Bush safely out of office, Republicans are much freer to hold him to account than Democrats are Obama; meanwhile, among indies, O’s slowly but surely creeping up towards Bushian levels of blame. I wonder if this trend was accelerated by the “recovery” having stalled or whether culpability is a simple function of time — i.e. the longer Obama’s term wears on, the more of the economic climate he owns. Maybe it’s time to start a pool. Pick the date: When does Obama finally pass Bush in this metric?
