Tuesday on The Chad Hasty Show, guest host Steve Evans, chairman of the Lubbock County Republican Party was joined in the KFYO studio by former chairman Chris Winn and Lubbock County Tax Assessor-Collector Ronnie Keister.

The three discussed many issues, including the state of the local Republican Party, all the way through to the national level. During his description of the local party's condition , Winn said,

The fact is, the party's in good shape, locally. We have probably one of the most respected senators in the state legislature [Charles Perry]. We have a highly regarded congressman in Jodey Arrington, I am very impressed with how he's navigated a freshman term...You've got Dustin Burrows, a man who's future is extremely bright.

While commenting on the accessibility of local officials and representatives, Keister said,

I think the great thing about the guys we have locally is they're easy to find and they're easy to talk to.

The three also discussed the farm bill, and other agricultural issues.
