As always Mondays on The Chad Hasty Show, GOP strategist Matt Mackowiak joined Chad with news and thoughts on current happenings in politics.

Mackowiak and Hasty discussed the entry of Representative Jason Chaffetz (UT) into the contest with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) to succeed Representative John Boehner after his resignation from the House at the end of October.

Mackowiak said,

I think McCarthy will get, will 'eek' it out and barely get the votes he needs, but there is a little bit of uncertainty right now.

Mackowiak also talked about reports on the likelihood of Vice President Joe Biden entering the race for the Democratic nomination for President.

Mackowiak gave his prediction for the Biden decision, by saying, "Biden has continued to delay the decision right? And usually when you delay a decision, it's because you don't want to make that decision". Mackowiak continued, saying, "I think he will, because he's run before, twice before, and having been Vice President for six or seven years I think he feels like he's prepared to do the job."
