A series of events are set to take place at various public library locations across Lubbock.

The Science Spectrum will show engineering experiments at various public library locations for grades 5 and under. Dates and times are:

  • Monday, June 26 @ 2:00 p.m. - Mahon Library (1306 9th Street)
  • Tuesday, June 27 @ 2:00 p.m. - Godeke Branch Library (5034 Frankford Ave)
  • Wednesday, June 28 @ 2:00 p.m. - Patterson Branch Library (1836 Parkway Drive)

Tickets are required at all locations. Pick up tickets at the library on the day of the program. Tickets are free and are first come, first served. For more information, call 775-2838.

Teen Wii Games at the Patterson Branch Library

Kids can play games on the Wii at the Patterson Branch Library located at 1836 Parkway Drive, beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26th. Children in 6th grade to 12 grade are eligible. Call 767-3300 for more information.

Nerd Meet at the Mahon Library

Join us at the Mahon Library located at 1306 9th Street, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26 for Game Night. We will have card games, board games, and video games. All ages welcome. For more information, call 775-2835.

Author Visit and Book Signing at Groves Branch Library

Author Bill Neeley will be at the Groves Branch Library located at 5520 19th Street, at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27th. He will be discussing his new book A Tejano Knight: The Quest of Don Juan Seguin. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. For more information, call 767-3733.

Learn to Knit at Groves Branch Library

The Groves Branch Library located at 5520 19th Street, will host an evening of knitting, crochet, and yarn spinning from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27th. For more information, call 767-3733.

Children’s Movie at Mahon Library

The Mahon Library located at 1306 9th Street, will host a movie for grades 5 and under at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28th. Pick up tickets at the library on the day of the program, starting at 9:00 a.m. Space is limited. For movie title and other information, call 775-2838.
