Legendary Women’s College Basketball Coach, Pat Summitt passed away early Tuesday morning.

Summitt was suffering from “Alzheimer’s Type” early onset dementia.

Pat's son Tyler said in a statement Tuesday morning that she died surrounded by loved ones at Sherrill Hill Senior Living in Knoxville.

Summitt led the Tennessee Lady Vols to eight national championships during her 38 year reign as coach, amassing 1,098 career victories, the most in Division 1 history.

Summitt was 64 years old.
