One Arrested in Clovis For Stealing Martin Luther King Jr. Plaque

One person is in custody in Clovis for stealing a plaque memorializing a civil rights leader.
The Martin Luther King Memorial Plaque that was on display at Potter Park in Clovis had gone missing, but police have received information leading them to a suspect.
Clovis Police gained information from the Clovis Recycling Company, who found that the plaque had been grounded down, the facial image had been removed, and the plaque had been cut into three pieces.
An arrest warrant was issued for 27-year-old Jeremy R. Palmer of Clovis. Palmer is being held in the Curry County Adult Detention Center in lieu of $20,000 bond. He has been charged with Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property.
