A poll worker is behind bars in Ohio, after biting a voter during an argument.

53-year-old James Williams reportedly head-butted Greg Flanagan, then bit his nose during an argument outside of the polling area at a Lutheran church in Cleveland, according to the Associated Press.

Flanagan says he intervened during an argument between Williams and a woman who was campaigning nearby. Williams was an Election Day rover, and began arguing with a campaign volunteer, saying that she had brought signs too close to the polling place.

Williams had worked multiple elections before, and their local election board says that he will not be hired again. He is being held in the Cuyahoga County Central Prison Unit, according to WCPO News of Cleveland.

Flanagan was taken to an area hospital for treatment, and Williams is awaiting charges.
