A NASA flight director and Texas Tech alumna will speak Thursday at a luncheon hosted by Texas Tech University Women’s Leadership Institute.

Ginger Kerrick is a flight director in Houston’s Johnson Space Center where she works in the mission control center. During her time with NASA, Kerrick has supported 13 International Space Station missions and five joint shuttle missions, according to Texas Tech.

The Women’s Leadership Institute is sponsored by the ad-hoc Committee on Leadership of Tech’s Gender Equity Council. Their website lists their mission to “enhance the leadership potential and skill sets of undergraduate women leaders on campus, offer a forum for undergraduate women leaders to network, and to increase the visibility of women leaders on campus.”

Kerrick will speak Thursday, March 26, at a luncheon for Tech faculty and staff and again for student members of the Women’s Leadership Institute at Tech’s International Cultural Center.
