Ryan Tannehill threw two touchdown passes, and the Miami Dolphins surged past the Buffalo Bills, 22-9, in Florida on Thursday night.

Buffalo (5-5) had a 9-3 lead late in the third quarter, but the Bills couldn't hold off the Dolphins rally.

Though he was sacked five times, Tannehill finished with 240 yards passing. Miami (6-4) jumped ahead on his 7-yard TD pass to Brandon Gibson with 2:25 left in the third quarter. They added a safety on Buffalo's next possession when Bills' QB Kyle Orton was called for intentional grounding in the end zone.

The Dolphins extended their lead in the fourth quarter on an 8-yard touchdown reception by Jarvis Landry and a 32-yard field goal by Caleb Sturgis.

Dan Carpenter kicked three field goals for Buffalo. With star running back Fred Jackson sidelined with a groin injury, the Bills managed just 54 rushing yards on the game.
